There are numerous ways for students to enter IIT if they want to get accepted into programs other than B.Tech. Admission to M.Tech programs at IIT is possible through GATE, while admission to Administration programs is through CAT.


All of these entrance exams are competitive national exams with lots of applicants. Institutional admission tests are used for adoption in the humanities, social sciences, and other IIT programs.

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)


Do you wish to enroll in an IIT without taking the JEE? IITs yearly conduct the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) for admission to master and postgraduate programs like M.Tech, M.E., and Ph.D. 


B.Tech undergraduate degree holders may sit for the GATE exam. The exam is open to students who are in their final year of study.


Eligibility


  • GATE testing is open to all ages.

  • Students who hold a bachelor's degree are eligible to take the GATE exam.

  • Students who sign up for their final year exams are also eligible, but they must provide a certificate (signed by the principal of the university or college).

  • Diploma students do not meet the requirements to take the GATE exam.

  • Students who pass the competency test are required to turn in their own interim certificate, qualification certificate, or certificate of competency.



B.Sc in Data Science


Class 11–12 students, college students, working professionals, and those on a career transition can all pursue a Bachelor of Science in Data Science at Madras IIT.


Eligibility


  • Students in Grades 11 and 12 must go through a qualifying process and have to pass that.

  • After passing their school and board exams, they can enroll in the course.

  • There is no limitation of seats, so anyone can get admission if they qualify.  


Joint Admission Test (JAM)


JAM is the solution for B.Sc. students looking for brighter M.Sc. prospects. For students who were unable to succeed in JEE because of inadequate assistance, it is a good approach to enter iit without jee.


JAM exam is required for admission to the MSc (Four Semesters), Joint MSc-PhD, MSc-MTech, MSc-PhD Dual Degree, and other programs. The subjects covered are mathematics, mathematical statistics, physics, chemistry, biology, geology, and economics.


Eligibility


  • Students from India and abroad can apply.

  • Bachelor's degree from any stream of any accredited university.

  • No age restrictions and final-year students are also eligible.

  • S.C. and S.T. categories require a minimum of 50% marks and a minimum of 55% for General and OBC.

  • A physical fitness certification from a licensed medical practitioner is required.



CEED Exam


This entrance exam is required for enrollment in the Master of Design (M. Des) programs and Ph.D. programs at the IITs and IISc Bangalore.


Eligibility


  • A bachelor's degree in interior design, engineering, architecture, or a related field.

  • Professional Diploma in Design

  • Bachelor of Fine Arts (4-year professional program following 10+2)

  • GD Art (5-year study after the 10th grade), plus 1-year of professional experience.

  • A master's degree in Computer Applications/Arts/ Science or (a 2-year program following 10+2+3).




Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED)


The IITs are renowned not only for their engineering programs but also for the variety of design courses they provide. Admission to the B.Des program offered at elite universities requires passing the Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED).


Eligibility


  • Candidates from both India and abroad may sit for the UCEED Exam.

  • Candidates for the UCEED Examination must pass or qualify from their XII class or comparable tests.

  • Candidates are allowed to administer the UCEED Exam more than twice in successive years.


Humanities and Social Sciences Entrance Exam (HSEE)


Students who wish to enroll in integrated Master of Arts (M.A.) programs that last for five years must take an entrance exam for IITs. This is one of the best course you can take in iit without jee.  The following two courses are open to students:


  • Integrative M.A. in Development Studies

  • Combined MA in English Studies


Eligibility


  • Applicants must be under 25 years of age.

  • There is a five-year age relaxation for people who are SC/ST/PwD.

  • Students who have graduated from the 12th grade are also eligible.

  • The applicant must have earned a minimum of 60% overall in their qualifying exam for S.C., S.T., and PwD candidates it is 55%.

  • Candidates taking final-year exams are also eligible.

  • A certificate of physical fitness must be submitted by students.


Short-term courses in IIT without JEE 


These courses could give your career a boost. Without having to deal with the JEE inconveniences, you will receive an IIT education. Most students are not aware of these short courses that are offered by different IITs.


IIT Bombay's Design Thinking (5-month course)


The goal of this program is to support businesses and enterprises as they transform and innovate their services, business operations, products, and corporate strategies. You can submit an application if you have earned your diploma or graduated in any field and have one year of work experience.


IIT Madras Knowledge Representation and Reasoning program (12 weeks)


Both undergraduate and graduate students may choose to participate in this. Formalisms and related algorithms are included in the course structure. This course serves as a companion program that is "Artificial Intelligence: Search Methods for Problem Solving." The Swayam portal offers both online courses.


IIT Roorkee's Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence (6 months)


Advanced machine-learning topics are taught in this program. It provides knowledge and abilities for using deep learning models and other A.I. applications.
